Mark Turner

I graduated from the University of Manchester in 1997 with a First Class Honours Degree in Furniture Restoration and Conservation. My first job in this field was working at an Italian framing workshop in London; Ricardo Giaccherini Fine Frames in W1.

I began my own business in 1999, when I was offered a studio share in North London. The business was gilding, period frame restorations and framing commissions for the Fine Art market.

In 2003, I relocated back to the South West and grew my business to include the restoration and sales of decorative frames and giltwood antiques, with an additional showroom space in Tetbury, Glocestershire.

As my reputation grew I became involved in interior project work which included one off and modern commissions.

In 2018 I focussed the business on specialist finishes and applied surface finishes for designers, cabinet makers, and larger interior projects.

The Turners Decoratives studio undertakes all of the above and works with a collective of skilled artisans to develop, design, make and restore beautiful decorative objects.
